Conveyancer of the Year – 2017

This year will be a ground breaking year for AICNT as we will be having our Award Ceremony in February 2017 where the CPC earned in 2016 and the Awards earned in 2016 will be presented.

Conveyancer of the year

Meet Meggsie Muis of Tschirpig Conveyancing Palmerston. This year Meggsie was awarded the inaugural Australian Institute of Conveyancers NT Division – Conveyancer of the Year Award for 2017 .

Meggsie began her legal career in 1980 as a Rounds Clerk at Cridland & Bauer. From there Meggsie worked for Waters James & O’Neil for ten years and then at Halfpennys for another seven years and finally at Ward Keller for a short period in 1997. In those days Conveyancing was carried out by a Law Firm – this changed in 1996 when Conveyancers became licensed and no longer had to work under the umbrella of a Law firm.

35 years later, as well as being a Commissioner for Oaths, and a Licensed Conveyancing Agent, Meggsie is now with CPC accreditation and runs the Palmerston Office for Tschirpig Conveyancing. September this year will mark her 20th year at Tschirpig.

Meggsie’s aim as a Conveyancer is to provide a service with honesty integrity and communication. Purchasing property, whether for investment or as a first home buyer, can be a stressful time. Meggsie ensures that her clients are looked after and guided through the conveyancing process with as minimal stress as possible.
