Since our last update in August the market values have continued to be in a decline however Practitioners are reporting a lift in file numbers. The RELM magazine written by the REINT at the following link says it all.

CPC Program

AICNT held a Seminar on Saturday the 21 st of September 2019. Topics addressed were Risk Management and
Conveyancing 101, with refresher presentations on GST for commercial properties, and GST New Measure.
Pleasingly 18 Conveyancers were in attendance with a further 7 “Zooming in” via the recently updated equipment in
the REINT’s training room.

Contract of Sale

The Licensing Branch withdrew the “new Contract of Sale” amid complaints from property stakeholders one
such complaint made directly to the Attorney General which brought immediate attention by the Branch. The
contract is now back with the Law Society for amendment and hopefully will be drafted in a fashion acceptable to
Conveyancers and Real Estate Agents.
